Reading: Isaiah 59, 60, 61
My Verse: 61:11 "For as [surely as] the earth brings forth its shoots, and as a garden causes what is sown in it to spring forth, so [surely] the Lord God will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations [through the self-fulfilling powers of His word.]
This is Truth! This will happen - "the self-fulfilling power of His word".
I keep coming back to this - Isaiah brings this fact back up again and again. The earth we live on, the lives we live are temporary - transitory. While I am expected to live an excellent life before my Lord and the world I must ever keep in mind that "as surely as the earth brings forth its shoots . . . so surely the Lord" will return. And when He does return He "will cause rightness and justice and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the former sky and earth had passed away." (Rev. 21:1)
This is so assuring when I see the pain and devastation around me. Rather than despair I can look up and forward to my Lord's return. "Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, ..." (Rev. 1:7) Thank you for this, Lord.
Ditat Deus - God Enriches!
