Reading: Matthew 7,8,9
My Verse: (7:7) "Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you."
I like how the amplified emphasizes "keep on". I am to persevere in my walk with You, Lord. I am to keep on keeping on!
You teach here that I a believer and follower of You will be known by my fruits. "Therefore, you will be fully known by your fruits." (v.7:20) You teach that if I hear Your Word and heed Your Word I "will be like a sensible man who built his house upon the rock." (v.7:24) Not the foolish man who built upon the sand!
You show me through the centurion who came to You to heal his daughter that I must not only ask but believe You are able to do all that I ask and more!
You show me through the woman who suffered for 12 years - that seeking You is always the answer. You are the Healer.
You show through all the miracles - that You are indeed a loving, compassionate God. You want us to come to You, to ask You for our help.
From all this I see why I am to keep on asking You, seeking You, and knocking on Your door. You will provide me all that I need and more. You are the answer to life's problems.
"My foot has held fast to His steps; His ways have I kept and not turned aside." (Job 23:11)
Help me, Lord, to keep on!
Ditat Deus - God Enriches!
