Reading: Psalms 104 - 108
My Verse: (107:8.9) "Oh, that men would praise the Lord for His goodness and loving-kindness and His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good."
These Psalms extol the wonders of God. They remind me of His majesty. They help me to think rightly of my God. "Bless the Lord, O my soul! You are clothed with honor and majesty -." (104:1)
Psalm 104 alone reminds me that it is because of You, God, alone that we and all that is exists!
Our church had a lawn concert last night. The weather was questionable but God blessed the time with beautiful sun. It was a wonderful time of listening to and singing along with songs of praise. It is a good thing to sing praises to You, O Lord!
"Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; sing praises to Him with the harp of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully [on the strings] with a loud and joyful sound." (33:2,3)
I am not skilled in music but I truly enjoy worhip service. I am so blessed whenever I participate in a songs of praise service. " . . . for praise is becoming and appropriate for those who are upright [in heart]. " (33:1)
Thank You, Lord, for giving us this form of worship. Thank You, for all the skilled musicians out there who write the songs, put scripture to music and play the instruments at church services to help us worship You.
"There is no one like You, O Lord, and there is no God but You, as we have heard with our own ears." (1 Chronicles 17:20)
Yes, Lord, You alone are God and I will sing prasies to You!
Ditat Deus - God Enriches!
